Sunoco Royalty Payment Class Action

Royalty owners led by Perry Cline alleged that Sunoco violated Oklahoma law by failing to pay interest on late oil-production royalty payments. A lower-court judgment requiring Sunoco to pay approximately $103 million was left in place after the Supreme Court denied Sunoco’s petition for review; Justice Kavanaugh said he would have granted the petition.
