Diageo Tequila Labeling Class Action

Consumers and a restaurant alleged that Diageo's Don Julio and Casamigos tequilas were mislabeled as "100% agave" and that they paid premium prices for products that did not meet that representation. The proposed class action was dismissed after the court found that testing of five samples did not sufficiently support an inference of systemic and widespread adulteration; plaintiffs' counsel said they intended to ask the court to correct the decision.
