Amazon Prime Subscription Settlement

Settlement Reached

The Federal Trade Commission reached a $2.5 billion settlement with Amazon over allegations that Amazon enrolled customers in Prime subscriptions without their knowledge or consent and made cancellation difficult. Amazon began sending automatic refunds in November 2025 and is expected to continue sending payments through April 2027; Amazon did not admit fault.
