Settlement Claim
The certified classes generally include residential property owners or renters, from 2015-02-01 to the present, whose property receives water from qualifying public utilities drawing from the Cape Fear River downstream of Fayetteville Works, or whose groundwater contains quantifiable concentrations of specified PFAS associated with Fayetteville Works. Damages subclasses include certain people who paid for bottled water, water heaters, or reverse-osmosis filters, as well as certain owners or occupants who have not installed both reverse-osmosis filters and new water heaters.
There is no current claim form or payment application because the case has not settled. Class members who remain in the case do not need to file anything to stay in the class. The prior exclusion deadline was 2025-10-04 and has passed.
