NIPSCO Storm-Related Service Class Action

The lawsuit alleges that NIPSCO inadequately managed vegetation near transmission lines and ignored requests for tree trimming, contributing to prolonged power outages and related harm to customers after severe storms in northwest Indiana. The class action was filed in mid-August 2026 and remains pending; the Porter County Superior Court has not yet certified the class.
