Wisconsin Union Membership and Dues Deduction Class Action

A Wisconsin employee filed a class action against International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 7 and Olympic Companies, alleging that union dues continued to be deducted from her pay after she gave written notice ending her union membership and that she was told membership was mandatory. The class action is at the filing stage; related charges were filed with the National Labor Relations Board in June.
