Massachusetts SNAP Benefits Access Class Action

A class-action lawsuit filed in Suffolk Superior Court alleges that Massachusetts residents lost or had their Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits reduced because they could not reach the Department of Transitional Assistance through its assistance line after calls were automatically disconnected. The lawsuit seeks restoration of improperly denied or terminated benefits and improved access to the program; a preliminary-injunction hearing is scheduled for September 29, 2026, and the matter is ongoing.
